Job Summary:
The Auto Apprentice will be tasked with inspecting, repairing, maintaining, and conducting diagnostic tests on the UPS vehicle fleet.
 Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Work Location: 12424 Dixie Rd., Caledon, ON L7C 2L8, Canada
Workdays: Monday to Friday
Shift Duration: 19:00 to 3:30
Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform regular and timely repair, inspection, and maintenance of UPS diesel, propane, CNG, and gasoline vehicles.
Operate and conduct testing on company vehicles within UPS facilities and on public roads.
Qualifications:
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
Willingness to work evening and/or night shifts
Capability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Possession of a valid Skilled Trades of Ontario apprenticeship certification, preferably with a 310S certification
Ownership of essential trade tools and equipment
Possession of a clean driver’s abstract or record (obtained no more than a month prior to the interview date) indicating:
No violations for the current year (last 12 months) and no more than violations for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months)
No accidents and maximum 5 demerit points for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months)
Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills
Successful completion of a pre-employment road test.
